We were invited by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to partner on an innovative effort to oversee the import of approximately 1.5 million cubic yards of upland fill to restore wetland habitat on Inner Bair Island. The project includes a highly protective quality assurance and material handling program and has resulted in an estimated $8 million benefit to the federal agency. Plans are underway to expand this program to nearby areas to restore additional wetlands and protect nearby communities in preparation for sea level rise.
